Fuzzy Peaches

A couple of nights ago I was at a live performance of poetry. That’s the right way to describe it, right?

Anyways, I was at this live performance and I bought some Fuzzy Peaches. If you’re not aware of the candy I’m talking about, they are amazing.

Instinctively I offered some to the women sitting next to me. I know ‘don’t take candy from strangers’ is engrained into everyone’s head at a young age, but I thought it was worth a shot. They surprisingly accepted my gesture and we started a conversation.

Right away they mentioned they felt like they knew me. I didn’t have the faintest idea who they were, but after sharing my last name they realized they taught my youngest sister in school.

The point of this story is you never know who you may be sitting down next to. Also, sometimes offering to share your candy is the best way to spark a conversation.
